Steven’s immensely diverse cultural background lends to an unparalleled point of view on life, love, and all things art is derived from.
Born in Toronto, Canada to Jamaican parents – one of Chinese decent, the other mixed black white and Indian – Steven first erupted as Simba in Disney’s Broadway musical The Lion King.
Steven’s acting, often called “Powerful,” “Natural” and Charismatic,” can be seen in several High-Profile projects, from the cult hit “Fear the Walking Dead” to NBC’s “Scorpion” to Halle Berry and Steven Spielberg’s “Extant.”
His singing voice has been described as “a current style with an iconic feel,” “a cross between Luther Vandross and Maxwell,” and “Bruno Mars styling wrapped in Eric Benet’s voice.”
